Dr. Alfonso Alvarez

Vice Commander Solis-Martinez retired from the Air Force and is a Vietnam era Veteran. Our vice commander was the recipient of the 2003 and 2004 Larry Amaya Leadership Award, presented by the American GI Forum, Department of California.
Deanne Tate is Treasurer of our chapter and is also the current CEO of Veterans First, the only non-profit in Orange County dedicated to addressing the needs of homeless and disabled veterans in Orange County.
Our Secretary, Gregg James has been actively involved in veterans issues for over ten years. Our secretary has experience in job development and is currently involved in developing job opportunities for veterans.
Dr. Alfonso Alvarez is a former serviceman, CANG 40th ID, 160th Btl. Dr. Alvarez was introduced to the American GI Forum by Rudy Escalante in 1994 and Dr. Alvarez has been a member since then. Dr. Alvarez was the recipient of the 1999 Larry Amaya Leadership Award, presented by the American GI Forum, Department of California.
